Pleated air filter with metal backing is kind of common air filtration devide, widely used in ventilation systems, air conditioning systems and industrial dust removel fields.

Filter media: Synthetic fiber as the main material, and there is a layer of metal mesh on the surface of the filter media to enhance the structure stablity.
Frame: Cardboard, galvanized steel or aluminum profile as the support frame.  It ensures the filter don't demage even under high pressure difference.
Efficiency: Primary efficiency, usually G4(according EN779 or ISO 16890 standard), mainly intercept the particles above 5µm.
